According to the Lewis Carroll Society website:
"A percentage of the sales of this item is donated to the Maxine Schaffer Memorial Outreach Fund which was founded in 1996 to buy copies of Alice in Wonderland for children. The books are distributed by means of readings for groups of children held in conjunction with meetings of the Lewis Carroll Society of North America."
