This collage was made from hundreds of photos, drawings, and writings by and about Lewis Carroll. They were arranged by hand so that a portrait of Lewis Carroll appears in the reflective cylinder when it is placed on the picture of the Cheshire Cat.

A percentage of the sales of this item is donated to the Maxine Schaeffer Memorial Outreach Fund which was founded in 1996 to buy copies of Alice in Wonderland for children. The books are distributed by means of readings for groups of children held in conjunction with meetings of the Lewis Carroll Society of North America.

Carrolls' fascination with mirror reflections prompted me to include a scrap of his mirror writing. I placed it near the base of the mirror where it can be read, with John Tenniel's drawing of Alice holding her hand up to the mirror as she passes through the looking glass.
