A work in progress, the Illuminated Origin of Species is an illuminated manuscript based on the work of Charles Darwin. Written in a Carolingian/Humanist-style script, illustrated with original botanical and wildlife paintings, and decorated with Art Nouveau-inspired capitals and borders, the book is a culmination of artistic influences that reflect nature and the power of the human spirit to understand the true story of our origins as written in the fossil record and the genetic book of life.
